Cornelius Augustt Yao Azaglo photographed the inhabitants of a small town in Northern Ivory Coast, Korhogo.
Portraits of implacable accuracy.
He also worked as a ‘itinerant photographer’, from village to village, with his ‘Camera box’, an artisanal wooden box integrating the camera with its lens on the front, and a mini integrated photo lab on the back.
Canvas stretched against an earthen wall, under the harsh sun, it was there that he learned to accurately capture the hard gaze of the inhabitants of this rural region.
