MUTABARUKA – Jamaica

  

Mutabaruka (his curent name Hallan Hope) was born Allan in Jamaica in 1952. A Rastafarian 'Dub poet'  singer man, he was one of the new generation of Jamaican oral poets.He began writing and performing in the late sixties. He uses musical accompaniment in his performances.
